Paris, November 9th, 1998 -- On Wednesday 11, 1998, which is a holiday in France, trading in MATIF and MONEP futures and options will be open through NSC electronic system in accordance with the following timetable:

• Interest-rate futures and options will be traded from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Paris time), with a pre-opening session from 8.45 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.

• Commodity futures and the Icumsa 45 Sugar Option will be traded non-stop from 10.45 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Paris time), with a pre-opening session from 10.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.

• CAC 40 futures, Dow Jones STOXX® 50 and Dow Jones Euro STOXX® 50 futures and options will be traded from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Paris time), with a pre-opening session from 8.45 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.
  Other MONEP contracts (equity options and CAC 40 options) will not be traded.

Margin calls will be made on the morning of November 12 for the trading session of 10 November, and on November 13 for the trading session of November 11.

This decision to open trading, which electronic has made possible, reflects the desire of participants to have continued access to MATIF and MONEP products and control their positions on what are business day in other countries in the future euro zone.
